What Cancer Stole

Spread the love

I’ve grieved a lot lately. Different days, about different things.

As much as I hate to say it, cancer has stolen so much from me.

It might have stolen my energy, but it can’t take away my determination.

It might have stolen my job, but it can’t take away my gift of teaching.

It might haven stolen my physical beauty, but it can’t take what’s inside.

It might have stolen time from my girls, but it can’t steal how deep my love runs

It tried to steal my marriage, I laugh because we are stronger

It tried to steal my ministry, but instead it’s being propelled

It tried to steal our finances, but instead heavenly provision came

It tried to steal my identity, but it couldn’t because I am His.

Cancer has stolen so much of my life.

But it hasn’t stolen me.
