I wonder why you say that I am inspiring.
I wonder why you say that I am strong and have such great faith.
If you saw my questions, fears, doubts — you would see that I am no different than you.
I’ve just been dealt a bad set of cards with this diagnosis.
You’re just as strong as me.
Just as inspiring.
You have your own story.
Your own hard road that you have walked, and maybe even continuing to walk.
Yours just doesn’t look like cancer.
Maybe it’s depression.
Maybe it’s anxiety.
Maybe it’s past trauma that you need deep healing from.
Or maybe it’s none of those things.
Maybe you’ve been dealt a great hand in life, and you are listening to the lie that God can’t use you because you haven’t “gone through” anything.
YOU were created.
YOU were dreamed up in heaven!
In the mundane things of life, you can reach others for Christ.
You can show His love.
You can speak words of life to the people around you.
You can be a catalyst for change at your workplace.
You can love your babies and make your home a dwelling place for the Most High.
You can show others how good God is from the blessings you have.
God isn’t just in the tragedies.
He’s in the beauty of your life.
In all the small and big moments in between.
Don’t doubt your testimony or your reach.
You are inspiring.
(this is not to say I don’t appreciate when people tell me I am inspiring! Please keep it coming! 😂!)
